Product Description Robert The Guitar Guy (Robert Markowitz) designed MOVING TO THE BEAT to be a 15 song, 30 minute music program for children 2-6 years old. Instructions for teachers/parents and words to the songs are included with the compact disc. For more than 3 years Robert has used pre-school classrooms as a laboratory for developing MOVING TO THE BEAT. Each song has been a requested favorite in a variety of schools.The songs are sequenced to entice children into a half-hour musical experience of singing, moving, playing maracas, and cleaning up. The program is designed to teach basic music competency, both rhythmically and tonally. About the Artist Robert The Guitar Guy: "Becoming a children's music performer was following my bliss. I studied Dalcroze Eurhythmics as well as taking the beginning and advanced training courses for Music Together and working with Chris Patella of All For Arts. Since then I've taught in pre-schools and performed steadily at schools, libraries, bookstores, festivals, and parties. I've developed a style of working with children which includes moving to music, musical creative play and stories, singing, and comedy. Some of my songs are collected on MOVING TO THE BEAT in a sequence designed to entice pre-school children into a half-hour musical experience."
